I would say, this sucks. But HIV is not your fault. And then I would repeat what was told to me when I was diagnosed: HIV is not a death sentence. This isn’t the ’80s or the ’90s. If you take your meds and do what the doctors tell you to do, you’re going to be fine. You don’t have to do it alone. And I promise, you will laugh, you will love, and you will have amazing S-- again. Life doesn’t stop because of an HIV diagnosis
