I would have to concur; and rushing will always lead you astray, leaving you to make decisions you might regret. Take your time, make some friends, but take the dating very, very slowly. This can be a....strange world indeed.
By the way, we have something else in common; I was born in Prince George, used to guide at Whistler ...I miss my province )
There are alot of people here that have this for a decade or more, myself included, you just have to lean a little bit and ask.
