Hello World.
Well as most people at this forum, I am currently living with type 2 HIV because some of the lively encounters in the ghetto. However, I must warn all to play it safe with anything and anyone. Apparently going in the backdoor is only slightly effective. I have been HIV since my college years, I like most other people use the "hiv cocktail" to help us cope and mildly boost our systems. Anyways I am also a gay advocate for many of the less fortunate HIV positive and to make a difference in their life. I am so wonderfully bedazzled by some of the technological breakthroughs the last few weeks in this area of science! We may have a cure! Oh Joy Tyrone! I had to google the world and came here, I am a known public hiv/gay activist in the greater Philadelphia region. I am must say I am glad to come across such a supportive site, people need suport and hope.

`what does scare me is how uneducated people are. on this site for example, there are a lots of guys who think because you're both poz its ok to bareback! Ok, cross/super infection is rare, BUT IT HAPPENS! And a lot of members are out there meeting people with no idea of the risks,no idea of their type and basically playing russian roulette! Theres also a LOT of people out to take advantage, very sad for the sincere ones. Keep fighting the good fight!

`i am working in an NGO right now, yes i am HIV positive for two years, we are handling 170 cases of HIV for treatment care and support, I do HIV 101 lectures for those people don't' know their status( a group of Overseas Flipino Worker, Student's, Jail Inmates, Male having S-- with males, Injecting drug user and S-- worker, sometime we disclosed our status after giving them lectures, telling them by looking a person physically you will not know if he/she is infected or not infected with the virus
the objectives of the lecture is to help the people to prevent their self to be infected with the virus and second to less the stigma and discrimination to us PLHIV
Its better each and every one are responsible enough to protect their self especially for those people that are practicing high risk behavior, what if a person he was infected for how many years and he don't know his status and he don't used condom. what if a person still inject drug's and share needles because he did not now that he was infected with the virus.
