Still reeling Island Girl
As many of us know, finding someone to love us in spite of the disease we have is difficult. I was diagnosed in November of 2013. I have not dated since then and had one failed attempt. I refuse to believe that there is no love for me because of this disease. I am 33, a Pacific Islander living in Washington State. I am strong-willed and laid back. I thoroughly enjoy standing up for other people. I cannot stand injustice. I have dreams of being a successful writer and running a clinic that helps people like me. I work full-time and go to school, where I have earned one degree and am working on another. I just want to find someone who understands what living with HIV is like and how it doesn't make me who I am. It is just a disease that I have.
