I'm a soft, silly, goofball at heart, but mothering a special needs child and life in general has kept me in a hermit box. It's a box I built when I was too open about my diagnosis and learned not everyone deserves access to my story. I was diagnosed in 2018 and have been undetectable since. I've survived all the punishments I could put upon myself and mostly recovered. At this point, I am working my butt off to truly live and give my little family a place to thrive. In many ways, becoming HIV+ saved my life and I think I'm done hiding.
