I have always been a person with a big heart, a strong believer in being respectful to others, and would give anyone a chance that wanted to be apart of my circle. That was even after so many screwed me over and or intentionally hurt me in one way or another. But that all changed about 7 years ago when I found out that I was HIV positive. One by one all the ones that claimed to be my friend and to have all this love for me just started dropping off when I told them about it. That was a big kick in my chest with a pair of steel toes, then after that I just shut my self out from others as much as I could. I have people at work that are work friends but only at work. I haven't told anyone at work but they don't need to know it's not like I'll be sharing fluids with them. But now after so much time alone Im finally starting to feel the sting of loneliness. And Im not looking to have a bunch of friends though, just want that one friend, (female of course), that I can spend my free time with building up to hopefully a serious long term loving relationship, but at the same time I'm still nervous about putting myself back out there again. But here goes nothing.
