I am a single mother who has been living with Hiv for 14 years. I still haven't had the need to take any Hiv meds. I am also a mother of two beautiful daughters ages 24 and 18 for which I am a grandmother of my 18 years old son. My grandson is 2 years old he is my little angel. My girls my grandson and I live in the Fenway area in a beautiful apartment with 9 units for which everyone in the building is living with Aids/Hiv. I was very fortunate to get in such a beautiful area. I am also the PCA and Health Care Proxy for a man who lives on the 4th floor. He has no family are friends to care for him. He and I are really good friends. I have to say sometimes its like taking care of another kid because he's in a wheelchair and is pretty much giving up on life. Its not that he can't take better care of himself he just refuses and he knows he has me there to do things that he is very much capable. But that's another story. As for myself I have alot of support I go to a support group every second Tues and Thurs.of the month see a therapist every two weeks and phyciatrist monthly. Not only am I living with Hiv, but I am also a recovering addict and alcoholic which I have 4 months clean and sober. I am looking for someone to be able to talk with take walks, share feelings and thoughts.
