Seeking Friends and Soulmate in Central Florida Yet another profile. OK, let us begin. I am an independent professional guy that is just tired of being alone. I want to meet some new friends, and maybe that special someone, with which to share life. I have been HIV+ since 1999, but going strong and undetectable. I do have a few extra pounds around the middle, but there is not many 50 plusers that do not deal with this issue. Otherwise, I am in good health. My likes? Movies; reading; quiet evenings; close friends; good conversation; good food, Southern comfort food is best; down to earth, open, honest, and non-judgmental people; laughing; spirituality, but not dogma; masculinity; and I dream of a log cabin in the mountains with a roaring fire in the fireplace. My dislikes? Shallow conversation; materialism; judgmental people; drugs; drunks; and effeminate men - as a gay man, I want to be with a man. I live life simply, not really into keeping up with the Jones, whoever, they are. Financially, not rich, but I am doing OK. I have been single, not my choice, for about 3 years, and I am ready to try again. I am old fashion, so I do not date partnered people, and open is not a word that I would use to describe a relationship. On another site I completed a profile and the results were fairly accurate: best described as taking care of others and taking care of yourself; on the openness dimension you are sometimes curious, sometimes content; on emotional stability you are responsive; your approach toward your obligations is focused and flexible; when it comes to extraversion you are sometimes outgoing, sometimes reserved. Pretty balanced as you can see. I am your typical Sagittarian, if you are into such things, in that I love my independence, clingers scare me, seek knowledge, and can be outspoken, but sometimes my foot gets in the way; however, I am always supportive and caring.
