My ex wife was had blood work done for an upcoming procedure. Dr's informed her something was off with her blood work. She refused to get tested for fear of what she may find so I took it upon myself to get tested. Found put she had A.I.D.S. and I was HIV+. This was in 2016. I have been undetectable since then. I was also introduced to a therapist for HIV+ people and have continued counseling since then. Haven't dealt much with the HIV+ community outside my Dr and therapist but it certainly has taught me not to judge others and life is short, don't focus on the bad things. I've been transparent about my undetectable status and take it very seriously, never missing my Dr appointment and I can count on both hands the times I have missed my pill since 2016. Dating is hard enough without having to tell someone your HIV+. I don't think, at least in my experience, people are really prepared to hear someone tell them that. So, here I am trying something new. Figured it might be easier to date if the hard topic is already known going into conversations.
