Very funny and charismatic and most of all very modest.
I'm 44 years old and was diagnosed about 20 years ago. After being diagnosed, I went through a very dark period. I refused doctors visits, medication and friendships as I was weary of harming any other people. I instead chose isolation and alcohol to try to speed up what I thought was inevitable. It almost worked. However, it did not. I'm not sure what changed, the realization of hurting my family or finally finding a doctor that listened to me and treated me more as a person than a patient, but something changed. Currently, I have not missed a doctors appointment or any medications, I am a retail manager doing something I love and when she recommended this site I couldn't find a reason why I shouldn't try.
